As promised, KTM has officially unveiled the new Duke 390 for 201 7 at EICMA Milan and it sure looks much sexier and sharper than any of the previous spy pics or renders.
The Duke hasaNew 373.2cc liquid-cooled engine along with new frame & WP suspension and one major upgrade in terms of a larger steel fuel tank (now 13.4 liters). Though the bike weighs 10 kgs more at 149 kgs, the engine still produces43.3bhp @ 9,000rpm and 37Nm of torque @7,000rom. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The powerplant is tuned for a smoother and more refined power delivery and the bike switches to side exhaust from the underbelly exhaust as it complies to EURO IV emission norms.
But this is where the boring stuff ends as the new Duke comes equipped with stunning bifurcated LED headlamps, an all new TFT display which showsspeed, gear, odo and trip meters, fuel gauge etc.
Slipper clutch is standard along with Ride by wire andan optional MY RIDE multimedia interface. This would be one of the first affordable motorcycles in India to have riding modes.
This isn’t it as there are a lot of new features for the KTM fans as the new bike comes with ABS as standard.
