So, all those who drink or have even drank once would understand the importance of chakhna. It is honestly quite funny how the two go hand in hand, so imagine a restaurant called Chakhna. Well, this is what struck us too in the first place […]

Piers were structures usually found on sea shores which would enable two countries to facilitate movement of people and good, thus building bridges among each other.
We were recently invited to the launch of a new restaurant in town called Pier 38, which specializes in Persian,Arabian,Lebanese and North Indian cuisine and it so appears that by serving their various cuisines they too are building a bridge between different people.
There is beautiful ambiance inside which impresses immediately with the use of rustic décor teamed with colourful graffiti on the walls. The yellow lighting adds to this rustic feel and makes everything inside glow golden.
There is a lot of wooden work inside which has been designed and arranged in such a manner that you would feel as if you were sitting on an actual pier, only a sea shore is missing.
Place is big enough to accommodate large number of people and best option is those laid back couches, though for the lone wolves out, there is also an option to sit at the bar.
Ample care has been taken to entertain the guests as they have a dedicated area for live music where various bands will perform.
Since their speciality is Lebanese, Arabian and Persian cuisine they have mastered the sauces first which includes the Hummus that goes very well with the pickled veggies and some warm pita bread.
We also tried humus with shawarma and found their shawarma to be much better than al bakes’. Minced meat rolled in pita bread served with pickled veggies which adds the required tangy flavour to the shawarma.
Kalmi kabab was marinated with the right spices and cooked well to a medium texture, served with mint chutney and onions; this makes for a good starter option.
Lamb galoutis were a total delight as they were crispy on the outside just the like the way they should be and succulent soft on the inside, each piece resting on a pita bread. Each bite gives you a taste of traditional rumali roti and Galouti kabab combo.
Chicken Tagine is flavourful chunks of chicken marinated with garlic, olive oil and some exotic spices; served with 2 types of rice and some salad. There are also 2 types of dip provided along one of which is tangy and goes well with the steamed rice.
We also enjoyed the Chicken Koobideh wraps served with hummus, mayonnaise and pickled veggies. Rolls have chunks of chicken inside and taste really well with both mayonnaise and hummus. Add to it a bite of pickled veggies and it is an enjoyable dish
Service was prompt, staff was courteous and food was delicious. They are very dedicated about the cuisine they serve and that’s why the items on the menu are authentic to the cuisine and prepared with perfection.
All this teamed up with good ambiance, comfortable seating and live music, makes this place a must visit. Highly recommended by us.

Every twist of the throttle is rewarded with crisp, exhilarating acceleration and an ultra-lightweight chassis lends itself to spirited sport riding. Designed for maximum riding pleasure, this sublime balance of power and handling make the Z900 exceptionally exciting and easy to ride.
The Z900 seeks to weaponize the middleweight class with a balance of power and handling, and replaces the outgoing Z800, while slotting in under Team Green’s Z1000.

Saying that there is some good food available in Old Delhi is as obvious as mentioning the existence of stars in sky. One such star is Kake di Hatti which is a pretty famous spot known for their really big naan and in fact it is quite the challenge for a single person to finish 1 naan.
LOCATION & AMBIANCE
Located at the Fatehpuri Chowk, particularly on the road that leads to old Delhi railway station. The place has poor ambiance both on the outside and inside. Seating area too is limited and can accommodate a maximum of 25 to 30 people at a time.
Inside there are decades old air conditioners that hardly look like they would ever work. There are no chairs as you sit on tables and benches and there are hardly 8 – 10 tables inside.
But, if good ambiance was what someone wanted, then they would go to a fancy restaurant. This is a place you come to for food and nothing else.
Once you ignore the ambiance and concentrate on food, you realize why this place is so famous. We went for an aloo naan with chhole and boondi raita.
First, there are more than 24 types of naan to choose from and they also have something different in the form of Cheese Naan. Apart from it, one can also go for Lachha Paratha or in case you are a calorie conscious person, you can have simple tandoori roti.
Team it up with more than 20 different veg dishes prepared and do not forget to order raita because otherwise this meal would be incomplete.
Our Aloo naan was huge and more than sufficient for 2 people, chhole were well made, not too spicy yet had all the right flaours. Raita also was good.
We enjoyed our food and yes it is heavy so make sure you work up a proper appetite before you go on a naan eating spree here.
